Abstract:
This tutorial will provide a thorough introduction to the archival principles which should underpin all preservation work in audiovisual archives. As such, it is based on the key IASA publication “The safeguarding of the AV Heritage: Ethics, Principles and Preservation Strategy” also known as TC 03. While it is not necessary to have read TC 03 in advance of the tutorial, attendees may find it helpful to do so.
